Vice President Al Gore won the Nobel Peace Prize, isn't this a great honor for the United States?

We were so lucky to have had such a great man in politics in our country. Even moreso in his post-political life. I'd even dare to say he's been a better ex-VP than he ever was when he was an active politician. He's so much more principled and dedicated to ideals than he ever was before 2000. Anyone else agree? Sure there'll be some right-wing wack jobs who are always trying to smear Democratic ex-politicians, and these nuts are always vocal, but outside of the political spectrum, Al's decided to do good for humanity.

I totally agree and yes, it is an honor to have him recognized as an outstanding American considering all the bad press we (justifiably) get with the current administration.

You inspired me to ask a new question...be on the look out ;-)
Reply:The guy is a nut case who only agenda is pushing himself up the money tree. Do good for humanity? He is pushing his idea's not true sound idea of the people.
Reply:I think he's a good guy, trying to educate the world about global warming. Thats something hard to do.
Reply:I think it is a great honor, Gore has been telling us for years about global warming, emissions and the environment being so important and no one would listen or take it seriously back then.

Now everyone knows he was right on the money.

If the right wingers try to politicize this, it will just make them look foolish.
