To say or to leave, that is the question, should i fight or bow out?

I am working in an office setting, and it drives me crazy. I work with UNDER QUALIFIED ppl, who cant spell, cant learn, we have little tests that we have to do and they get between 10-50% between the 9 of them, and i am an outcast because I got 91% and 73%, so i am looked at as someone who thinks i am smart, but pair me up with an other average person, they would get the same or better marks. so i got supervisor in 8 months, this makes them mad, my co-worker who i work with right now has gotten me in to trouble, and blames me for things that she does, with no shame no less, she is a paranoid person who after working 12 hrs a day 4days on and 4days off is driving me nuts like she is, it is rubbing off on me, and i am finding that i am doubting myself and my abilities, there are 10 of us who run the office, and we are in pairs and i get her now for the month of March, lucky me, they act like it is their God given right to work there.

i NEED to get out before i go postal,

To say or to leave, that is the question, should i fight or bow out?
It doesn't matter where you work, there are always going to be underqualified people, there will always be co-workers who don't even try to work as hard as you do.

What your co-workers think of you, and your work, is ultimately of no importance compared to what your supervisor thinks of your work. Sometimes you might think that management is not aware of your hard work, but my experience is that (in most cases) they are -- even if it is not expressed to you.

Bottom line? If the job pays the bills and management seems to think you are OK, try and stick it out... not "should I fight" but simply work hard and loyal... chances are you will be rewarded. If management is oblivious and clueless, get out now -- with a smile. Make up something about a better job.
Reply:When you dislike a workplace that much, you definately need to leave. If I dread going to work, that's my sign it's time to find something else.

No point in the 'fight' as it sounds as if they'd be too dumb to even understand ;)
Reply:If it's bothering you that bad that you needed to post it here then I think you may have answered your own question.

However, do think about the long term effects.

Is this a job that could eventually lead somewhere you'd really like to go (career wise). If so, it may be worth more time.

If not, I would start looking for something else.

Also, if you are scoring that much higher than your co-workers, you may be over qualified. In the future you may enjoy something more challenging. Challenging jobs are not only more interesting and pay more, but usually have better overall satisfaction and a higher quality of co-workers.

Good luck.
Reply:There are two things to decide on before you make any decisions regarding employment. 1) Does your current job make you feel good or bad (I think you pretty much answered this one on your own). 2) If you quit, do you have the opportunity to move on to a better position or at least an equivalent position elsewhere? Will you make the same or a greater amount of money at a different place, or will you be moving your career in the wrong direction. You mentioned that it took you eight months to advance to your current position. If you can't get an equivalent job someplace else, are you prepared to START OVER?
