My best friend is driving me crazy! HELP?

K I LOVE my best friend but she is drivin me nuts!!


She just moved and she made a new friend and has hung out with her for 4 days! Everytime I called its Erica did this..Erica and me did this and Erica listens to this! EVERY SETNECE IS ERICA AND I DID THIS AND HAHA OMGOSH U WONT BELIEVE WHAT ERICA DID! I am happy she made a new friend but its like she's changed and its like idk like she talks to me but we dont hang out half as much. I miss her as a friend and I dont want to tell her to stop talking about it cuz she is happy and when I do she will keep talking about it and say sorry adn trys not to ever talk about it. I just miss her its like we went from calling each other everyday to being lucky if we talk to each other in a week and I Dont want to lose her but id want to hear about it cuz shes my only friend and I am homeschooled and not social so I dont make friends easy but its like i have lost her in a way and I will call cuz somethin is buggin me and she will b @ Ericas and...

This just means she misses you. If you two are as great as friends are you say you are, she's just trying to work this out. She's trying to tell herself that she has a new best friend, because she misses you so much. It's not because she really does have a new bestfriend. This is a bad way to make it seem like she has a new best friend, but it's effective. She's tricking herself into thinking she and erica are great of friends. If you address this problem to her, things should go over smoothly. Tell her you feel a little let down that she keeps talking about erica so much, and that you'd rather talk about something else. She should understand. If she doesn't, then maybe you two weren't that great of friends to begin with. The thing to watch out for is jumping at her throat. This could be a bad move, and your friendship could be lost.

Reply:My advise to you is to Meet or talk to this Erica and get to know her (maybe you might even like to become her friend,if not then just go with the flow. talk about the funniest thing you did that day.)you might even consider buying a pet or something(lol)!!!!
Reply:It's really hard to hang on to somebody forever, and just because you can't be best friends anymore doesn't mean you still can't be just friends.


If she's talking about Erica too much, you need to tell her that you love her stories but you're not calling her all the time just to hear about Erica. You may upset her for a while, but if she knows you like she does, she'll understand and get over it.


If this is a jealously issue and you're jealous of Erica, find out why your best friend likes her so much. Meet her somewhere, talk to her on the phone. If you can't break the circle get in it.





And if you do decide not to talk to her ever again or something, just remember it's NOT the end of the world. You'll make new friends somehow someway, home schooled or not.





Before you take any of this advice, if you do, give it some time. If you met a new friend that had a lot in common with you, wouldn't you be excited and want to share it with somebody that has kept all your secrets, been there with you through everything, and still kept in touch even when one of you moved away?
