Revise to my question about a bug I saw.?

I asked earlier about a bug I saw and received many different answers. They all led basically to beetles. I wish I had my camera working so I can attach pic but I cant so Ill try again at describing it and maybe we will get lucky. Ok it is black, it has six legs, long clearish black wings that stretch down the length of its body, it is about 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch long, its back is pretty flat and that leads to a hard shiny somewhat bumpy surfac before its neck. It has a little neck that leads to something almost like an ant head that is extremly small in coparison to its body, not like a roach who seems to have a bigger head. Now the tricky part that has everyone I know wondering is that it has a stinger lookin like tube for a mouth that bends under its head towards its chestits antennae are pretty short and stay out in front of its head. If anyone can figure this out for me and maybe give me link to pick I will dub you my HERO. I am goin nuts.

Reply:You got me going nuts now tryin to figure it out lol. There are soooo many specieces in the insect world, milions. Dont drive yourself crazy go to the libray get a big gigantic book on insects.
Reply:it sounds like a carpet beetle.....check the internet to see a picture of it.....
