DOES ANYONE ELSE THINK SUNNY GAVASKAR was india's best batsman or is tendulkar.?
I found one topic were you can know how important is sachin though i rate gavaskar as equal.

Reply:tendulkar.
Reply:Sunny, yes sunil was a great player, scored countless runs, and a tough leader. but i'm sorry to tell you but tendulkar, is a far better player. he just attacks and tekes control of games.
Reply:Sunny was a great batsman indeed.

But we can't compare him to Sachin because they belong to different era, and have contrasting style. Sunny was an opener, and opening is the toughest job in test cricket. He didn't play too many ODIs.Playing ODIs can be a distraction for a batsman as they don't have time to settle.

Remember, Sunny scored 36 runs and remained not out in his first ODI of 60 overs.
Reply:Sunil Gavaskar was very fortunate that he played his cricket before Sachin Tendulkar steps in otherwise he may not even able to set the record whatever he created.

Sachin is a God gift to India and he can perform in any form of the game while Sunil was good only in the test matches.
Reply:Sachin Tendulkar is the best.
Reply:Sachin Tendulkar. Many reasons and proving it.
Reply:Tendulkar with out a doubt.
Reply:tendulkar creams gavaskar
Reply:sachin
Reply:Tendulkar is a better batsman. Statistically, Tendulkar is the best test batsman of all time, after Bradman, and he's the greatest one-day batsman off all time. And I like Tendulkar more, because he's a good bowler as well, which everyone seems to have forgotten.
Reply:I liked Gavaskar best, he was great to watch.
Reply:No, Sunny was damn good but Sachin is better!
Reply:Its the one and only one legend %26amp; master blaster sachin tendulkar
Reply:The most feared cricketer/batsman those days from WI players

was Gavaskar. He created havoc in many matches against

them and most notably on his first WI tour. He scored generously

for India and contributing to the first win on an away series for

India. He did score against others as well, but had his good

and bad days as well. He did play few ODI games and in one

of the WC games he played out all 60 (sixty overs) to remain

36 n.o.

But having seen Gavaskar and Tendulkar play, I still rate

Sachin far above than Gavaskar.
Reply:Sunil Gavakar was a great batsman, but Sachin, he is more than great, he is a genius a walking library in the art of batting, even at his age right now, many Indian innings are still very often built around him. Also Sachin can bowl better than Sunil.
