Who else hates Duke??

May i be the first to say your unamerican. Duke is a good school, just because they have a high curiculum and they play their hearts out and beat your team is no reason to hate them. And for those of you that cry boo hoo "they only win because they get the calls!" Shove it. The only calls Duke gets are ones against them. But like every team they do, i admit get lucky calls but guess what.... SO DOES EVERY OTHER TEAM!!!!!!! Thats why Duke is so good they play no matter the call to the fullest and they dont go crazy over tiny things. Make a basket its the rule of 1000 "you have done it a million times act like it." Every one else pounds their chest or reaches for their non-existant nuts. Come on its just a win or a shot. Then when they dont get a call its over and all other teams quite thats why Duke wins. Hope i changed some minds about Duke but if not tell me why. Despite i am a Duke all the way i do think Hansburro is a good player and sportsman.

Who else hates Duke??
Hate is for fools, Duke has a great program and like it or not will continue have.
Reply:Me. Regardless of who there players are every year everyone thinks there good. They just flat out sucked this year, there lucky the refs carry them as far as they do. Almost any real NCAA fan can tell you, Duke gets calls.

Reply:I don't hate Duke; it's Christian Laettner that I despise. (From a Kentucky fan). Duke wasn't so good this year, but not to worry. They are one of the premiere programs in the country with a great coach in Coach K. Duke will always be around in basketball.
Reply:I dont think you can attribute everything to plain luck or that duke is getting all the good calls,lets admit it they have a good basketball program out there and the results speak for itself except for this year they are always within the final,this tells a lot about how good their program and it tells a lot about how good a coach is mike k,every school in the ncaa competition should raise the level of their game and take it as a challenge rather act like a bunch of cry babies
Reply:I admit I hate Duke. I am not a UNC fan so I was not born hating Duke. My hatred of Duke was spawned because when I was little, my dad said they "lived and died by the 3" and as I watched, I realized this was true. Even when they aren't hot from the perimeter, they keep launching it instead of trying something else. It drove me nuts. That is where my hatred began, this good team that could be great if they just tried to work it inside or penetrate. (I understand that since I am not a fan that there are probably a bunch stats and games I missed that they did do that.) Plus I always like rooting for the underdog and DUKE is Never an underdog.





And then I began following the Maryland Women's Basketball program, and I watched Duke beat them in so many games. And then there was Overtime. And I never felt as much joy as watching Duke go down in defeat to the Terrapins. And though I will have to say that Duke had the best team this year for the women, and that I chose them to go to the final 4 because I respected their game and their coach... The heartbreaking losses they always have to the underdog just made it that much more fun to watch.





So the reason I hate Duke is because it is so much fun. In order to have balance and experience the full gambit of emotions you have to have one team that you truly loathe in order to fully admire the team you love. Sorry Duke (go Terps) oh and Michigan (Go Bucks), and Pittsburg (Go Browns).

Reply:I love Duke with all my heart. I can not believe how badly they are hated. But hey, we are the best, even if this year was tuff, you are always hated when you are the best! Another thing that ticks me off is all the bad things that people say about Mike Krzyzewski. Mike Krzyzewski is the best acting coach in the entire NCAA. He is also a very honorable man who treats is players like his kids even after they graduate. Duke haters out there, maybe you should take a look at what school as done in the last 20 years, and then look at what Duke has done in the last 20 years, and maybe you won't want to argue that they suck!!

And if Dukes so great why do all their athletes always get in trouble? the lax team with the rape, the bball team with their DUIs? and on top of all that they were awful this year!





Now it's not that i hate duke but the rivalry is always fun. it's all in fun to hope their sports teams lose and cheer for your team.





Now that being said Duke is a great place to get an education and has great athletics if your good enough to play there.

Reply:Obviously you don't go to Duke if you can't correctly spell Hansbrough, curriculum, or existent and the fact that you believe people to be “unamerican,” for hating Duke, when most of the American population does. Are we all that unpatriotic? For the record, I hate Duke for so many more reasons than you listed. I hate them for always getting the best recruits possible and still sucking. I hate them for always getting the biggest bitches on their team (McRoberts, Reddick, etc.). I hate them for slapping the floor and I hate their dick fans. I hate the fact that they have a starting line up consisting of almost all five-star recruits, but still manage to lose to an under budgeted VCU team with no one rated higher than four-stars out of high school. I hate the colors, I hate the history, I hate their mascot, and I hate the atmosphere. One thing I do like about them, however, is the fact that the fans always pack the stadium when it's an away game. There was nothing sweeter than watching them lose to the Hoyas in 2005 in Georgetown. I hate Mike Krzyzewski, and I hate that some ignorant analyst always puts them in his top ten regardless of how much they suck. So yeah, you tricked me into clicking on your link with an anti-Duke title, but the fact that you then defended them really makes me question you LJD4.

2. They are the darlings of the media....Billy Packer, Dick

3. We all remember WOJO's obnoxious, incessant floor

4. They produce VERY few NBA superstars.





5. Coach K is a foul-mouthed whiner who works the refs like


a scorned Jersey Girl who's husband left her for the


bearded lady at the circus.





6. The Cameron Indoor Sardine Can gives them a crazy


home court advantage. They wouldn't fair as well in a


modern facility.





7. Their cocky demeanor is ten times worse than chest


thumping.
